Picture this – you’re driving down the streets of Indianapolis and come to a stop at a red light. An IndyGo bus pulls beside you, and as you look over, you see Tamika Catchings smiling and “handing” you a drink next to Tea’s Me Café’s vibrant logo. You have time to look over the ad, which extends up into the windows of the bus and across the passenger side door to door. Easily you find their contact information and where you can find them on social media, and as the bus drives away you consider stopping by the café for a tea before your next meeting.
That’s the magic of a moving billboard.
An Innovative Advertising Option
Indiana’s largest transit authority, IndyGo, has recently chosen Adsposure as their only provider of transit advertising. To kick off this new partnership, IndyGo and Adsposure worked with WNBA Hall of Famer and Owner/Operator of Tea’s Me Café, Tamika Catchings, to create the first of the new format ads that will soon be seen throughout Indianapolis on IndyGo buses. Tea’s Me Cafe specializes in providing the best loose-leaf tea sourced from all over the world and making delicious healthy food options for the community. Tea’s Me Café’s advertisement can be found on multiple buses throughout Indianapolis at any given time, true mobile billboards that are at eye level, not sky level like the traditional billboard.
That’s something that even a four-time Olympic Gold medalist like Catchings can be excited about!
“I think it’s really innovative when you start thinking about (advertising) opportunities, we’ve done the billboard spaces, but I think being able to have a moving billboard something that will catch people’s eyes…I think the effectiveness of it will be very, very high,” Catchings said.
And IndyGo is excited for the future of advertising on their buses and shelters throughout Indianapolis.
“Transit advertising can be a gamechanger, especially when it comes to the ads on buses,” said IndyGo Chief Public Affairs Officer Lesley Gordon. “You have a moving billboard with the opportunity to spread your message around Marion County giving a powerful bang for your buck.”
Ads that Give Back
What many don’t realize is that a large portion of the ad dollars spent on an ad like Tea’s Me Café’s will go straight back into the Indianapolis transit system and the community. And for someone who gives so much to her community, Tamika is thrilled that her ads are also creating a positive impact on the Indianapolis transit system.
“One of the things people know about me is that I love giving back to our community, and that’s exactly what this does. People use public transportation. So [IndyGo] being able to take that money that comes in from the revenue and give it right back to the community, I think that’s the important part that sometimes we overlook,” Catchings shared. “And while its great for businesses to have this, its also great for our community.”

The new partnership between Adsposure and IndyGo guarantees millions in advertising revenue to IndyGo over the life of the agreement – which will be reinvested into the transit system for the people who live, work, and play in Indianapolis and Marion County.
