2023 Design Wrap Up

There have been so many incredible bus advertisements created by Adsposure’s skilled design team in 2023! As the year ends, we had to showcase just a few of the awesome ads that our team made for Adsposure’s advertising partners. Check out our design team’s favorite creations from this year:

4C For Children

Graphic Designer Andy Spies created the full wrap bus advertisement design above for 4C for Children's recent transit advertising campaign.

Graphic Designer Andy Spies took on quite the project with 4C for Children in Cincinnati. 4C for Children is a nonprofit organization that supports parents, child care providers, preschool teachers, and early learning program administrators who care for young children, and advocates for public support of quality early childhood education. Spies was tasked with creating custom artwork for a full bus wrap, supertail, extended kong, interior cards, and shelters for 4C’s child care careers campaign with Go Metro. Working with the 4C team, Spies was able to put together an ad that both conveys the message of the organization, but also looks fun and playful.

Spies also designed custom creative for the interior bus advertisements.

Making an eye-catching design is a lot simpler for clients who are in the business of kids, and this ad-campaign was no different,” said Spies. “I took some cues from the early childhood education theme and created a bunch of school related doodles. This included a planet, stars, paperclips, all those little illustrations.”

And the cherry on top of this project was that 4C for Children loved the artwork the Adsposure team created so much that they used it for other out of home marketing campaigns across the city!

Even in traffic - the bright colors and fun design stand out!

City of Aurora - Aurora Financial Empowerment Center

When our team can create art that drives change, the project is truly special. That’s why the design for the City of Aurora’s Aurora Financial Empowerment Center was one of Art Director Brett Annis’ favorite projects this year. The Aurora Financial Empowerment Center offers professional financial counseling as a free public service – helping citizens of Aurora with building their savings, taking control of debt, and connecting them to safe and affordable financial products. Annis designed queen format ads and interior cards for the campaign with Pace Suburban Bus, incorporating a custom QR code for interested community members to follow for more information.

“This was a fun project because I was able to experiment with AFEC’s logo and colors to create a dynamic ad system that speaks to the diverse community of Chicagoland,” Annis said.

Additionally, Annis shared that knowing that his work is going to help spread the word about free financial assistance made the project even more meaningful.

Harriman-Jewell Series

A showstopping full wrap for the Harriman-Jewell Series for the Kansas City Area Transportation Authority was another one of Graphic Designer Andy Spies’ favorite designs from 2023. And Spies shared that the project was, “One of my top 5 projects for Adsposure, easily.” The Harriman-Jewell Series showcases prominent arts from across the globe – from concerts to ballets and recital debuts – with the goal of bringing the arts to all people in Kansas City.

For this design, the advertising partner provided a direction for the design, with images and their logo – and gave Spies complete freedom to translate their mockup into what is on the bus today. For Spies, this was a breakthrough project.

The full wrap design for the Harriman-Jewell Series was a combination of artwork and design provided by the internal team, and Adsposure's designer Andy Spies.

“[This] was also one of the first orders where I started playing around with graphics extending into the normally unwrapped windows. It really gives off the feeling that the design is interacting with the bus in an interesting way and shows our advanced knowledge of the buses in each market,” said Spies.

That’s the advantage of working with Adsposure’s design team, our expert designers are solely working on artwork for transit advertising – so they know exactly what they can do to make sure your design stands out.

This full wrap stands out no matter where it is!

City of Youngstown

Another 2023 favorite of Art Director Brett Annis is the full wrap design for the City of Youngstown, which will soon be installed on a Western Reserve Transit Authority (WRTA) BUS! WRTA in Youngstown is Adsposure’s newest transit authority partner, and our team was thrilled to get to work on this wrap for the city. This design incorporates interchangeable sections to highlight local businesses and messages that the city would like to share with residents.

The City of Youngstown's full wrap bus will soon hit the streets, and the striking design by Annis is sure to grab the attention of everyone it passes!

“I really enjoyed designing this wrap because it was an opportunity to showcase what kind of impact Adsposure can have on the community of Youngstown,” said Annis. “I had researched the City of Youngstown’s programs and decided to incorporate their new local rewards app in order to interact directly with the riders and give them an incentive to keep their dollars in the community.”

Incorporating the QR code for the City of Youngstown's new rewards app was an idea that Art Director Brett Annis wanted to leverage to increase interaction with the community.

The City of “You” bus is sure to grab the attention of locals and visitors alike!

Looking forward to more designs in 2024!

These are just a few of the many innovative and inspired designs that our design team created this year for our advertising partners. We can’t wait to see all that is created in 2024!
